Fee Schedule

The following fees are in effect for services provided by Niebuhr Metallurgical Consulting:

Personnel Services

Initial Consultation...........Free, includes estimate of time for project

Time............................ $175 per hour, Travel time is negotiable depending on location and duration.

Depositions...................$200 per hour or fraction thereof, one hour minimum billing time; includes preparation time.

Trial............................ $200 per hour, includes waiting and any pre-trial review.

Retainer....................... $1000 minimum, non-refundable, applied against time & costs. Required only if initial estimate exceeds 10 hours*.

* Projects < 10 hours are billed at the hourly rate, 1 hour minimum

Materials, Travel and Transportation Expense

Laboratory Time**.........Cost of facilities +  Time of personnel

Materials..................... Cost + 20% for any unique materials or consumables

Travel.......................... Reimbursement for actual travel: lodging, rental vehicles and meals.

Mileage....................... Sixty five cents per mile plus parking and tolls

** NMC contracts with several materials analysis labs for electron microscopy, metallography, mechanical testing, etc.

Note: Partial payment (generally 50%) required before services are initiated
