Niebuhr Metallurgical Consulting (NMC) is built on the assumption that companies do not always possess the in-house resources needed to diagnose, understand and solve metallurgical challenges in their products. NMC provides metallurgical consulting for industrial and consumer products at all stages of their lifecycle. This ranges from materials selection before manufacturing to failure analysis and prevention during product use. NMC is dedicated to providing a wide range of metallurgical advice so that your products will perform better at less cost. NMC strives to meet our customer's needs by providing economical, practical and timely solutions.

Dr. David Niebuhr has over 15 years experience in the field of metallurgical engineering. He has worked on numerous failure analysis projects and provided guidance as a technical advisor and expert witness. His experience includes academic and industrial research for real-world engineering challenges. He has authored over a dozen technical publications and worked on technologies ranging from hard disk drives to railroad tracks.
